Racial Intersection
The women’s movement is wildly diverse. Labor rights activist Dolores Huerta, suffragist Ida B. wells, politicians Shirley Chisholm and Barbara Jordan, and creators such as Audre Lourde and Maya Lin provoke, have inspired and led generations of women to increased freedoms.
The films are organized by the decade the film begins in (as opposed to the decade the film was made) starting in the 1900s until present day. Some films span multiple decades, and we will upgrade these time designations as the website evolves.
